Product feedback, troubleshooting, privacy, and data requests
support@yongdu.ukChinese and English messages are welcome.
Include the issue, app version, iOS version, device model, and steps to reproduce it. Screenshots with personal asset information obscured can help. Do not send complete backups or passwords. The email link opens a mail app without sending anything automatically.
02 / Getting started
Yongdu supports iOS 17.0 or later, with Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese (Taiwan and Hong Kong), English, and Japanese. Add an asset with its purchase price, date, planned usage period, and valuation to review its cost. Record financing and ongoing costs where applicable.
No Yongdu account is required. Local recordkeeping and cost calculations work offline; exchange-rate refreshes and iCloud operations need a network connection and the relevant system services.
03 / Understanding the numbers
Planned daily cost divides planned net cost by planned usage days. Current amortized daily cost subtracts current value from costs incurred to date, then divides by elapsed usage days, with a minimum of one day. These metrics serve different purposes and need not match.
If results differ from expectations, check purchase dates, planned residual value, current valuation, sale status, additional costs, financing, and currencies. Depreciation is a model estimate, not a guaranteed resale price. See the in-app guide for detailed calculation rules.
04 / Backup and restore
Export a full JSON backup in Settings → Backup & Restore and save it somewhere you trust. CSV is for viewing and analysis; use a full JSON backup for restoration. Preserve existing records first: importing replaces current local assets and shows a summary and confirmation.
iCloud restoration uses the last uploaded package; it is not live multi-device conflict merging. Check your Apple Account, iCloud permission, network, and the in-app status. Use file backups if a package is too large. Avoid repeated restoration while troubleshooting, as it can overwrite newer local records.
05 / Manage and delete data
For one record, find the asset, use its delete action, and review the confirmation. To clear local content, open Settings → Backup & Restore, choose Clear all local data, and confirm with your local passcode. If no local passcode is configured, set one in Passcode & Security first.
Clearing removes assets, custom categories, tags, hidden categories, and the locally cached iCloud asset package. Language, currency, theme, exchange-rate cache, and local passcode remain. Manage the passcode separately in Passcode & Security. Clearing cannot be undone; export records you want to keep first.
Disabling sync or clearing local data does not automatically remove previously uploaded iCloud data. Manage exported files, other-device copies, and cloud copies separately in their storage locations and Apple’s available controls, which vary by system version. Yongdu has no developer account, and the developer cannot remotely operate on your local data.
To request handling or deletion of emails or attachments you previously sent to the developer, contact us from the relevant address. No asset backup is required.
06 / Troubleshooting
Exchange-rate refresh failed: check the network and displayed update time, then retry. Temporary service outages can affect updates, and cached rates may be outdated. Estimates are not bank settlement quotes.
Forgotten passcode: the developer cannot read or remotely reset a device Keychain passcode. If previously enabled Face ID / Touch ID still works, try unlocking and exporting a backup before contacting support. Reinstalling is not a guaranteed passcode-reset method.
Missing reminders: check the in-app reminder setting, iOS notification permission, plan-end date, and Focus mode. Reminders are local notifications.
Purchases and refunds: if you make an App Store transaction, Apple handles billing and refund requests through its processes at Report a Problem. Contact the developer for product-functionality issues.
